My Story

If you’re interested in working with me, you’ll want to know a little more about me, and how I got to where I am today. So, let’s start at the beginning.

Although I was born in the UK, my parents were Italian and spoke no English. That made my early days in school especially challenging, as there was a language barrier to overcome. I found it a struggle, and that led me down a path of undervaluing the importance of education. By the time I left school, I had no real qualifications to my name.

However, all was not lost, as my early life had taught me some valuable lessons. From watching my parents, I gained an understanding of the value of hard work, and what having a strong work ethic could achieve.

Money was tight at home, and when I looked around at the other children with their new toys and designer clothes, I knew that I wanted to achieve that for myself. So, I began working whenever and wherever I could. I picked up some paper rounds and took a job at my local shop. I swept floors and stacked shelves, and it felt good to earn my own money and to not have to rely on my parents.

By the time I was 15, I had learned the value of exchanging my time for money. Not only was I doing paper rounds and shop work, but I was also going door to door around the neighbourhood, willing to wash cars, cut lawns… essentially, any chores that would bring in a little extra cash. Soon, my parents encouraged me to take up a trade, and I became a hairdresser – a job I enjoyed and excelled at – but I began to yearn for more income.

A friend and I took the decision to set up our own hot dog and burger stand outside our local nightclub as a side hustle on top of my hairdressing job. Eventually, we expanded our business, investing in more units which we set up outside other clubs in our town, and at the Sunday markets. Meanwhile, I was also doing mobile hairdressing on the side as well as my day job. The money was rolling in, and this taste of success inspired me to dream big. It became my ambition to have my own business. To do what I wanted, when I wanted. To be free with my time and money.

I opened up my own enterprise, putting in the work ethic that I had learned during my early life. But, although 14 hour working days and high profits were exciting in the beginning, I eventually started to long for some time off. Holidays were impossible as everything centred around me. After years of living this way and facing every kind of business challenge from physical and mental burnout to insolvency, I realised I was stuck in a rut.

My dream was slowly but surely slipping away.

Not only was my business struggling, but my personal life was suffering too. Somehow, I had gone from being a successful, young entrepreneur to feeling like a failure just treading water trying to stay afloat. Worst of all, I could see others around me working shorter hours but enjoying much better lives.

After many years of this, enough was enough.

I picked myself up. I started working on myself and seeking out business mentors, coaches, and meditation and spiritual gurus. I plunged myself into books, attended networking events, business seminars, spiritual and business retreats, and I began to realise that once I got my head straight and had given myself a check-up from the neck-up, everything else would follow.

It wasn’t an easy realisation to come to. I had invested tens of thousands in improving myself, not to mention many years of my life to reach this point. But once I’d had that breakthrough, as if by magic everything fell into place.

Today, I have several successful businesses and a substantial property portfolio. I have started, scaled, bought, and sold businesses. I’ve invested in new start-ups and spent quality time with top entrepreneurs. I’ve even appeared on Dragons’ Den.

I’ve learned the hard way that hard work only works for so long. Over my career, I’ve learned a lot, and one of the most important things that I’ve learned is what NOT to do. I may have now achieved my dream of being free in terms of time and money, but the greatest thing that I’ve achieved is a free and peaceful mind.

Now, I’m eager to share the secrets of my success with you. So, if my story resonates with you and you believe you can benefit from my experience, take a look at my “work with me page” now.
